PangeaSeed, artist Craig Drake and Hero Complex Gallery present a shark-saving effort of monstrous proportions: Smile, You Son of a Bitch! An Art Tribute.

3 days only, from November 1 – 3, 2013 at Hero Complex Gallery in Los, Angeles – featuring original artworks from over 90 international artists all coming together to help raise awareness for the global plight of sharks while celebrating their place in pop culture.

Opening Reception:

  • Friday, November 1 – from 6-10pm

Smile, You Son of a Bitch! An Art Tribute to JAWS!

For three days only, from November 1 – 3, 2013, at Hero Complex Gallery in Los Angeles, we will host a one-of-a-kind art exhibition featuring original artworks created by 70+ of today’s most renowned artists in celebration of one of the most iconic films in movie history. This unprecedented exhibition aims to engage the audience by helping to further bring much needed awareness to the global plight of sharks.

The three day event will see guest appearances by original cast and crew from the movie, original film memorabilia and collectibles on display, special guest presentations from some of today’s leading shark experts and exciting film screenings. Search deep and wide, without a doubt this is the must-see event of the year for JAWS fans!

Leading up to the opening night reception on November 1, PangeaSeed will release 4 limited edition fine art screen prints entitled “JAWS: The Lost Trading Card Set” created in collaboration with supporting artist Craig Drake and printed via Seizure Palace Screen Printing. A new print will be released monthly to help make this event possible – we greatly appreciate your support.

JAWS: Memories from Martha’s Vineyard author Matt Taylor and I will be signing copies of the book during JAWSfest The Tribute.

Join us at the Daniel Fisher House in Edgartown on August 9th, 10th, and 11th from 11am to 12:30pm.

World renowned JAWS artist Paul McPhee will also be there signing copies of his JAWSfest prints.

I will be narrating a boat tour during JAWSfest, August 12th

Okay, it’s official! Grab your tickets FAST for this truly new and unique JAWS Filming Location Tour aboard Seastreak’s 141 foot catamaran.

You will be in the exact location where most of the third act aboard the ORCA was filmed on Cow Bay and where Chrissie got attacked, SEE the beach that was seen in the end credits near the Cape Poge lighthouse, SEE the location where the “break-a-way pier” scene was filmed & much more!

Lou, Yana, and myself will narrate during the tour PLUS there will be a Q&A with some of the cast & crew from JAWS while out there! Trust me, you won’t want to miss this tour.
